Welcome Back Info

I’m pleased to announce that the Champaign Family YMCA will reopen to our members on Tuesday, May 26. In keeping with the State of Ohio’s reopening guidelines, the following changes will be in effect until further notice:

Check-In, Welcome Center and Lobby:

• At check-in, members will self-scan cards and answer a brief health check. If you are feeling ill, have a fever, or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home.
• No guest passes or members from other Y’s permitted at this time; Champaign Family YMCA members only.
• Members and staff are asked to observe 6-foot distancing guidelines and wash/sanitize hands upon entering the building.
• Members are encouraged to wear a face covering when not exercising.
• We ask members to please bring their own towels. Should you forget, one towel per member may be requested at the Welcome Center.
• Seating in the lobby will be limited to minimize socializing. Books, puzzles and table games have been removed.
• Coffee will be served by staff upon request during morning hours. Please no carry-in food sharing at this time.

Fitness Center, Gym and Pool:

• The fitness center is available during regular operating hours, but be aware that capacity will be limited.
• The swimming pool is available during regular hours; please call ahead (937-653-9622) to reserve a lane (one person or household per lane).
• The gym is available weekdays before 8 am, weeknights after 5 pm, and during regular hours on weekends. A reservation (937-653-9622) is required for each basket. Check out all balls at the Welcome Center. Play is limited to among members of a single household.
• Pickleball is on! M/W/F 8 am – 9 am Pickleballers can play using their own paddle. We ask that the pickle ball be sanitized between games.
• The running/walking track will be limited to 5 people at one time.
• Group exercise classes will resume in June; details to come.

Health and Safety:

• Members are asked to clean fitness equipment before and after use. Additional cleaning supplies are provided in the fitness center.
• Staff will clean high-contact surfaces and equipment throughout the building hourly.
• Whirlpool, saunas and Child Watch (babysitting) are closed until further notice.
• Locker room capacity will be extremely limited. Please request a locker number from the Welcome Center. Whenever possible, arrived dressed and ready to workout.
• Showers will be limited and may be used only for rinsing off before and after swimming.
• Lockers and showers will be cleaned after each use.
• Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the building.
